Profit margin is slim with most of the hobby based business and creating websites can be costly. Unless you have someone in house that can create and update the site on a regular basis like BVM, the costs can outweigh the profit margin the website provides. True, website construction is not extremely difficult with the right software and time but you do have to be computer literate to create them. I am far from a web designer but have spent a few months teaching myself how to do it in my spare time. Most of the small manufacturers just dont have the time or funding to construct elaborate pages.
I offered what little spare time I had to help Jetcat USA construct a new site. Although far from perfect or professional the page has all the information required and it is manageable. Site was created for them at no charge. Those who complain and wish to see more information or better quality website might try helping these small companies out by doing the same....
