Default RE: 1/8 scale buggy top speed?

We clocked it at 78MPH on our gun.
Basically, speed is sweet, but its all about how you can control you speed. And along with that, I dont know if anybody has taken long trips, but you figure out that your avrage mph is arond 35-40( and yes thats on a motercycle traveling at least 80mph on the highway...... stops kill you
Well where this is going

If you cant control it when ur in a turn at 50 mph... it doesnt matter if you can get up to 50 by the next turn.... because each time you have to stop or over slow your car for the turn, your losing ground.

I dont wanna be harsh but if i can modify the thread question, Whats the top speed of your buggy, *how fast can you get it their*(who cares if u can go 78mph if it takes u 18 seconds to get to it), and can you control it at that top speed around a dirt turn and come out solid 9times out of 10?
