The best way you can..........No way is absolutely safe unless you ship them in a fire safe. The "bubble" has gone down somewhat close to normal size. I bubble wrapped them and secured them in a stout box and shipped. Is it perfectly safe? No. But what can you do to make them perfectly safe, dont buy them.
When they are brand new and shipped it isnt safe then as well. Boxes are thrown all the time in the shipping companies and that is not good for the batteries....
