About comparing the OS-160 and MVVS-160 on Gas:


We are flying two Xtra-2000 pattern planes, one with a OS-160 the other one with a MVVS 160 on Gas.

The plane with the MVVS has got enough power to fly the pattern schedule, but is not even close to the power of the OS.

This does not say anything bad about the MVVS, it simply not true that a same displacement GAS or Methanol engine will deliver the same power.

The MVVS has proofen to be a very reliable and easy to start engine, and fuel consumption is indeed much lower then the OS.....
