About the offset.... What's the pros and cons with the 85deg vs 90 deg? Is it to make up the differance in the planes dihedral to get the stuts 90 deg to the ground (it's gotta be now that I think of it)?? Anyone know what the Thunder tiger mechanicals are ??? (85 or 90)
The retract angle is the angle of the strut from being fully retracted to being fully extended. If you want the struts perpendicular to the ground, then use 85 deg since the wing has some dihedral. If you want the struts to angle slightly outward like the picture of the real plane shown above by me, then use 90 degree.
