Ya know, I've wondered this.. I've asked this, and I'm curious to know; why, by how much, and when..

When did ARFs become the plane type of choice? They say we wanted ARFs, and that the industry is listening to us, but I beleive it is the other way around, that the industry is making these ARFs (Because of lower apparent costs, cheap labour, and all the other excuses). RCU, probably one of teh best places with one of teh largest RC groups to get an 'average sampling' always seem to prove they want kits more than ARFs, yet ARFs are always being pushed... Still, no market results (sales figures, comparing kits vs. arfs, our real wants, our requests for new.. ARFs or kits, etc.. ) We are teh buying public, and I would very much like to see some data on 'our group'.. I feel it is the big companies that are 'instilling' this trend..

As for the poll, RCU seem to do a few 'trandom polls' for 'marketing purposes'. I beleive they are gathering responces to try and paint the 'RC world' picture. This is jsut one of teh many polls they have done, and the results will go to the highest bidder (or whomever will pay the posted $$). Another revenue stream for RCU..
