Expecting more than 6900 rpm from a 40 with a 22-10 of any brand on it is a little much....No matter WHAT the company says....
FWIW.. Any made in USA ignition using a syncro spark module can be set up to get full advance at 6000 instead of the more usual 4000...Why would a retarded ignition make the engine run better ?
My G26 conversions are set at 28 BTDC with FIXED timing..Tried syncro spark and mechanical advance, couldn't tell any difference....There is no better running small engine around...But then I don't have unreal expectations about rpm... My numbers come from testing with normal setups....[8D]
