I think one of the best ways to secure for a small plane is a lot of foam. I do that and it holds everything in place well IF there is a cavity for the whole thing to sit in. After that I will use some foam to cover the whole thing like a 'hatch'. When using foam be careful about the throttle linkage, don't let it strain the linkage if not your EPA will change.
