RE: Seagull Models Harrier 3D
Stick the 180 in it- and it will pretty well balance out -
Note of caution: The plastic control horns are really a bit light weight and flex at their base.
I would recommend slipping on down to the spares bin and finding some sturdier types
Also the push rods are smaller than 2/56 types made by Sullivan or DuBro etc.
I fly mine, VERY slowly so there is no real problem but if you ever develop some speed -the existing horns may flex too much .
As for the "harrier rocking -- ANY tapered wing layout will rock - -It is simply restabilizing at work
The short low aspect ratio wing is best ( my opinion) to provide a steady vertical sink.
Why?
Simply the span flow is very high on these setups
If you ever flew "Flying Stop Signs " or big flying plates --you see the same thing - the air runs outbound from center and stabilizes, at higher angles of attack .
Nothing mysterious - air , like water -simply looks for the easiest way around an obstacle
Just like a V prowed boat.
Any way - it works
It is a nice model -just needs a few minor hardware mods.
