RE: "Doubledge" biplane?
Good news/bad news.
The good news is the new 97" Special is absolutely wonderful. With the new airfoil it stops snaps and spins IMMEDIATELY, no over rotation at all. Every snap I did was a quarter turn short because I'm so used to timing the rotation. Also it's really stable, smooth, and looks great.
It weighs 23.2 lbs ready to fly with BME 102, 10 servos, dual Lipo 1400mah packs and regulators, etc. etc.
I think they will be available in the November shipment, I hope Ihope I hope.
The other good news is the 120 Edge weighs 11.1 lbs with Thunder Tiger 1.20, ready to fly. This is a 26oz. wing loading.
Bad news.
The 120 Edge came out tail heavy. REAL tail heavy. I won't release this plane until it can be assembled without adding ballast with a regular weight 1.20 glow engine. Other than that it should be a really neat little plane. Think Jan. Feb. for this one.
