RE: OMP Hybrid "My Build"
Well, I scratched up enough 1/4" scraps to assemble the canopy.
Assembling the canopy is a little more difficult than it had to be.
Using 2 sheets of 3" balsa, you have to cut out 6 pieces from templates on the plans. Glue them together to make the 2 canopy sides. The ends are glued to formers and 1/4" bracing is installed. I'm not sure why these parts were not laser cut. It would have been much easier and probably would have been a nicer job. Here's some pics. The last step in fuse construction is to install 2 1/4 x 1/4" braces in the cowl and sheet the bottom. I have no more 1/4" stock so it will have to wait.
