Maidened my ucd
60 a month ago, still very happy with this plane!
But currently i'm trying to tune it for best 3d'ying. Several questions:
1. I'm using the Cline on Saito100 and when I quickly move the throttle stick from full throttle to iddle the engine does not drop the RPM immediately, there is a noticeable delay after I lowered the throttle and corresponding RPM drop. Is the fuel tubing between the carb and cline controller too long? It is about 1/2 inch long...and it seems no way to get it shorter. This is only complain to cline system, everything else is awesome (full throttle, transition and iddle).
2. In hover it attempts drop to the canopy...how to resolve this? I mean the tendency (not to apply some down elevator

)? In inverted flight almost no down elevator required to keep horizontal, but in normal flight a little up elevator is required. I feel there is something wrong with CG or engine vertical thrust angle...or may be wing incidence? I started with 4-7/8 CG for first flights and then shift a little for each flight. Now it is about 5".
3. As to CG location, it seems I'll have to move it more aft. Now I can see how the CG shift affects the flight but cannot figure out what should I change on landing. What is the difference between landings say with 4-7/8CG and 6"CG?
Would like to thank all you guys who posted their findings on improving the construction of the bird in this thread. I read complete thread and it seems implemented almost all improvements you suggested.
thx
