Default ESC/Receiver Interference

I'm sure someone knows the answer to this one.....

My ESC is generating interference which causes glitching. I've changed the relative position of of the ESC and receiver, as well as trying different combos of Dual/Single conversion PCM and PPM, changing the position of the arial, and tried different channels. I've also asked my hobbyshop to swap the ESC. None of this works, but what did work was wrapping the receiver in Aluminium cooking foil(We call it bacofoil in the UK) Ahahh...success at last! But here's the questions...

1.Having uninsulated foil so close to 20Amps makes me nervous, can you get an insulated foil from somewhere?

2.Should the foil in someway be connected to "Earth", if so, would that be the black or Red battery connection? Or somewhere else?

3.Anybody else got rid of ESC/receiver channel interference using any other method?

Many thanks!

Chris
