Default WILGA QUESTIONS

I recently acquired a 1/4 scale Frisch Wilga kit, and not having ever seen one in person, I have the following questions for anyone who has one or has built one:
-- what would a good size engine if I do not intend to use as a glider tug? I am considering DA-50, 3W-75US, ZDZ 60 or 80.
-- would a DA-50 be enough power for the 25lbs. plane?
-- did you cover the wings and stabs with monocote type covering or another method like lite fiberglass?
-- what type of paint did you use for the fuse? Automotive?
-- did you split the elevator for redundancy purposes.
-- what types of servos did you use?
-- where did you locate the elevator and rudder servos?
-- does the plane come out tail heavy with a lite engine like the 3 lbs. DA-50?
-- did you use a canister muffler mounted externally or internally? If so, how did you mount the muffler?
-- did you reenforce the fuse/cowl/landing gear mounting/firewall with fiberglass/carbon fiber/ or kevlar tape?
-- did you build up and taper the elevator hinge leading edge? The hinge area is about an inch thick and I think it would bind if not tapered.
-- how does the plane fly in windy (10-20 knot) weather like I get in Dallas, TX?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions and help.
