Default Magic Extra info

It's in the latest Hobby People catalog. Heres some info from the ad:

It's been modified from the magic for optimal performance with a 46 two stroke. Reduced the wing area for better penetration on windy days, making it a faster place. Its taller fuselage (looks like a thinly tapered extra 300L two seater) allows the magic extra to do more typically "pattern" maneuvers better, such as knifeedge and hesitation point rolls. Its new airframe design gives better all around tracking. Theres the ad hype.

Its an all wood/iron on covering model. Aluminum hoop gear (sorta like a somethin extra). No cowl, has ears that come out like a somethin extra. Steerable tailwheel, pull pull rudder.

Wingspan: 49.5 inches
Wing chord: 14 inches
Wing area 700 sq in
Engine 2st: .40-.60
Engine 4st: .52-.91
flying weight: 4.5 lbs

Price (are you ready for this????) $119.99

The covering scheme is identical to the .25 sized extra, but its not the same fuse. Its longer, thinner, and leaner. Looks like the wing may be more symmetrical than the magic wing (hope so), and the gear looks large enough to handle 13 or 14 inch props. Motor mounts straight up n down (right side up) similar to a pizazzz. Elevator/stab (noncounterbalanced)look to be about 40% fixed/60% movable, and the rudder looks to be non counterbalanced about 50% or possibly more. Quick fix here would be just make a larger rudder and cut down part of the vertical fin, to clear a counterbalance.

Can ya tell I already have one on backorder from the LHS..... I'm thinkin my Enya 80 four stroke might have found a new home.
