You can do a positive snap (Up elevator and same rudder and aileron) but a negative snap(Down Elevator opposite rudder and aileron) helps keep the geometry of the loop better.
Depends on the plane. I've had a few models that I could get to arc a positive snap so that entry and exit were perfectly on the curve of the loop.
