I have just re-read my post.

My Ergo will fly loops fine in normal mode. However my comment about climbing in an inverted hover needs expanding. This will only happen for a short while as the head speed decays. The heli will then fall out of the sky. The way I fly my loop results in very little pitch over the top. This means that the head is not too loaded and will not decay significantly in RPM for the short time over the top.

I think you would need to use idle up for the rolls as you will probably need a bit more negative than the loop and will be holding it for a longer time. The risk of RPM decay is higher.
