What you didn't tell us is how much you flew back then. You soloed quickly, but did you advance to a second or third plane, or have to hang it up shortly after soloing? It'll make a difference in the answers, especially regarding that Spitfire.

I'm guessing that either way you'll do okay with the Avistar, but as for the Spit, I'll reserve my "opinion" until I know more.
