The Super Sportster and the 4* are tail draggers. The Tiger 2 can easily be converted to a tail dragger when assembling the ARF (or kit). And yes, I think a second plane should be a tail dragger.

A Cap or an Extra or Sukhoi don't make good second planes, simply becasue they're aerobatic. If you keep the control throws very low during set up, you might do okay with one, but I'd put them in the same category as the Spit.
