I too have neglected to make the "pretty" repairs to my magic, just because I'm afraid that plane is on some seriously borrowed time. I cut in an access hatch to sink the battery further back in the fuse, and just glued the old piece back in place, and then stuck over the cut lines with a piece of clear packing tape. Ugly, yes, effective, a bigger yes. When I first assembled it, I also made it a point to go over the plane with the monokote iron to stick it down, and then used some black striping on my seams to hold them. Well, several months have passed, the trim tape is sliding around, the covering is lifted in several spots at the seams, but it still flies LOL. If this plane lasts till winter, it will deserve to get a nice recovering job. Thats a reallly large assumption though LOL
