Sorry I have to correct you "lomcovak" is the correct spelling and didn't come from Russia but former Czechoslovakia. The maneuver was invented in early 50ies by Czech pilots. The exact translation is something like " shaker" but it has adopted translation as headache.

Looked a lot more like a lomchevak <sp> than a waterfall. The best description of a lomchevak I have heard is a series of ass over teakettle flips while going forward at a 45 degree angle. Someone once told me that lomchevak is Russian for headache and I can see why.
