Engine no power?
hello all, i have been learning to hover over the past few weeks, all going sweet have gone through about 8-10 tanks of 15% nitro on my raptor50v2. now last weekend when i took it out from some more hovering i noticed the engine did not sound right and i had to give the throttle a bit more stick before it would idle, and even at about 1/4 stick it sounded like the engine would not hold/idle. I was pushing the engine more then i would and even then there was no power coming out of it.
the main rotor blades would spin up and the whole heli spin (like if the blades were the wrong way around). other symptoms are:
the tin/metal sound coming from the engine area
lots of smoke and oil coming from the exhaust
no engine power, 3/4 stick and the engine was sounding like it was under trouble....
i have changed the glow plug
took out the engine and had a look at it ,looked fine, bearings, ok, shaft moved fine etc...
one thing a guy mentioned about when i talked to him today was that it is probably the clutch lining and or the clutch snapped.... to be honest i didn;t notice the clutch being snapped or anything.... but i did not check the clutch bell.... do you guys think it could be that?....
help me before i buy a new engine....
