Madness!
Mike,
I fully agree with you on the Madness. I don't have one, but have seen one at my field, with a YS63FZ on it. Another thing I noticed on the Madness is, that the main wheels are so far forward of CG, that it puts alot of weight on the tail wheel, which is quite weak. I told the owner out here, that if he wanted his rudder to survive any amount of time and especially Harrier landings, to put a more heavy duty tail gear on it. What I said about the roll rate of the Madness, is purely from reading threads here on RCU.
I personally like these types of planes, low low wing loading, most flying is very low, very slow and very close. That is also why I like the plane not to cost to much, since they have been known to Waterfall into the runway he he. I have a 30% Cap231EX ARC here I need to finish, and a ZDZ80 for power, should be fun too, but the Pucker factor will be much higher.
Davey,
I used the control horns that came with the plane, but 4-40 rods and Du-Bro lockable clevises and ball swivel clevises. I see no need to modify to pull-pull on rudder, unless you bevel the control surfaces for more movement, which is not necessary on this plane.
