True on the weight of the gasser probably not being a problem on an 80" airframe. However, every bit you can lighten the wing loading helps and I didn't want to spend more on the gas although now that I look, it only ends up being about $70 more expensive. I just know what I saw and I liked it!

I don't think the tank really is too much of an issue either because it looked to me that you could probably get away with a 12oz tank and still have good flight time - you just are not on the throttle except to pull vertical.

I am sure the Aeroworks Extra will be fun and fly well, I just have not seen it fly.
