Understand exactly what you mean. The learning curve on the 9C is steep (as maybe the case with most other sophisticated computer radios). The best way to understand this radio is to start by reading every word in the manual. There is no superfluous information at all. Every word counts. After reading the manual a few times, sit down with your plane in your shop and get ready to use at least two or three battery cycles of time to get the hang of mixes, endpoints, expo, etc. You should try some mixes since the U CAN DO can take full advantage of it with dual aileron and elevator servos.

This radio is very versatile and I have yet to read about any serious shortcomings. I am confident the other competing brands are good (reminds me of Chevy vs. Ford debates.....) but I have only experience (what little I have ;-)) with the Futaba.

I have not been able to locate a guide written by someone else other than the original manual of course. If you find one please let me know. The Futaba FAQ is also a good source of info regarding the 9C.

And nothing beats basic airmanship. Every field has a flier or two who could take a U CAN DO and fly it with a 1980's AM 4 channel as if he was competing in a TOC type competition. But for now I'll take all the microchip help I can get!
