Landing Gear
I've had my 3D for a little over 6 months now, and had a lot of fun with it. I'm learning to hover, and (my fellow fliers claim) soon I'll be able to hover at such an altitude that they can see me do it.
I've learned a lot from this forum, and as a primarily warbird flier, the tips I've picked up here have greatly shortcut the assembly, CG placement, and flying technique learning curve for me. Thank You .
But I am mystified by one of the recurrent complaints about the plane on this forum: strength of the gear??? Sure, the gear is kind of light and springy, but come on!, the wing loading on this thing is about the same as two large large bird feathers taped together! How are you guys landing it so as to mess up the gear? Can't you at least stop doing aerobatics for the last 12 inches before you hit the ground!?
