Default RE: First flights of GP Super Stearman w/ G26

Hey guys,

I have been flying my Gene Soucey Extra from GP on a Jack's 29cc. It is a Chineese copy of a G-23 that has been machined down and modified by Jack Canaday with a 2.0mm stroker crankshaft for a 29cc displacement. This engine weighs 43 oz. inc. ign. and will swing any of the 18X6 props well. I am running an 18X6 Mejzlik on mine with 9700rpm on the ground and great vertical on a 13.5 lb airplane. Sounds like it would be at home perfectly on the Stearman. Give Jack a call and find out about getting one. Intro price is 399.00 with syncro spark ign. Jacks shop number is 816-528-3937. Also wackerengines.com will sell a wrap around pitts style muffler for $45.00. A G-26 muffler fits right on. Good luck with those Stearmans. I might need to get myself a Christmas present this year and it might have to be a Stearman. There are pix of this engine installation on my Soucey on the GP Gene Soucey Extra list at about post #370.
