The reason i didnt go for PCM is because it costs more and goes immediately into failsafe if you get intereference. The IPD is supposed to filter it out and then apply the most recent control inputs if it gets any worse (cant remeber the specifics)
PCM will only lock out at a level far beyond you would have lost the plane on a PPM rx. Only ever had one problem with mine.
Only advantage with PPM is it tells you if there is low level interferance.
