Default RE: VMAR Improving?

I have the Vmar Aero Subaru, and it has suprisingly turned out to be a pretty fun Plane to fly and own. I was dissapointed when I first got it, because some of the glue joints were poorly done, but now after a good beefing up, and some good inspecting, the Plane is a ball to fly.

There have been a lot of opinions about the covering also. Is it better than Monokote or UltraKote?.....I have no idea! I will say though that I have had more compliments about how neat the Plane looks than I have from any of the other Planes I own. Exspecially from non fliers, who don't read post here on RCU.

There are issues about the wood they use to build the Planes out of. Personally I don't care if it is made out of Hedge, as long as it flies good, and will take a few rough landings. And happily my Subaru does both.

Sometimes you have to be able to seperate a planted image from a fact. For example.....I could probally get 30 buddies to start comming on here and talking down Sig Planes, and Sig would probally have a 1000 angry emails from Customers who were once happy, but now are not, because me and my buddies placed an image in everyones head about Sig.

I am not saying that there are not legitimate quallity issues with Vmar. I am just saying that some people will just jump on the Vmar hate bandwagon just because they have read alot of post by others on the hate bandwagon. Talk to the Flyers who have actually had experience with these Planes, and get those opinions. Somebody telling me that they had a cousin, who had a friend, who had a nephew who owned a Vmar, and said it was bad just don't mean *%it to me. I want to talk to other fools like me, who actually bought one, assembled one, and have flown one. Those are the opinions that really hold weight.

No matter what happens to my Subaru now, I have allready gotten my moneys worth of fun out of it. It don't owe me anything now. I went against what everyone told me about Vmar, and bought one anyway, and I have no regrets. I have many other Name Brand Planes like Great Planes/ Sig/ Hangar 9,etc., and I am just as proud to hang my Vmar Aero Subaru by any of them now. It is always good to get opinion about a product before you buy, and I would by no means tell anyone to rush out and buy a Vmar due to all the Customer Complaints. I am just saying that with all the bad Vmars people have bought, they at least have one customer who is happy with a Vmar Plane they bought.
