I have a photo tutorial on making a set of ABS/PVC drift tyres, the wheel is bigger than the inside diameter of the pipe (about 1mm) but if you put the wheel in right it will go in - very tight
Tight as the fit is, the pipe does slide off slightly exposing the rim of the wheel, so one
SMALL dab of superglue/cyano (not hot glue) is just enough to keep it in place
When the pipe wears down to the rim, it'll only be 1mm thick so it's easy to cut into with a knife, then just rip it off
A file is all that is needed to get rid of the blob of hard glue
Make another set with the same wheels
...job done
