If you put tape on the joint, be sure the surface is clean and you press the tape down well. I used some marginal quality masking tape and it wicked out some epoxy. Now the bottom of my Aresti's wing has a bit (not much) of a epoxy mess on the bottom. Without the tape, I could have kept an eye on it and cleaned up any runs.
