Personally, I dislike the combo sets and the RTF packages (you probably knew this already). I prefer to do the research and choose my own components. As has been shown in another thread, the RTF packages and combos are not necessarily any cheaper than choosing the individual pieces. However, if you are ok with letting someone else choose all the components, or just don't want to do the research, a combo or RTF is a good choice.
