I purchased the rare bear from my local hobby shop for 300.00 total money. The plane is very sharp looking. Word of notice. I installed an OS 120 FS and you cannot get the motor back far enough with the motor mount that comes with it. I used a different motor mount to get the correct distance from firewall. Also had to add a (pound or more of weight) to the front to get balance. YES A POUND OF WEIGHT[:@].. Even with the OS 120. Wonder what it would take with the thunder tiger 90? Box says 8 to 9 pounds. Mine came in at 10-1/2 to 11 pounds.[:-]
Also the instructs says to glue the retract area better. I did, first landing bounced 4 times very easy 3 touches where on the runway and the 4th touch was the grass and took out the landing gear blocks in the wings. The 120 flew it well but did not scream the plane. So i am going to change out the engine and install a new MDS 1.48 that i have. This will be plenty of power and will add some weight up front so i can take some of the iron i have glued up front off. My advise on the retact area would be remove the covering there and really beef it up before you mount the retacts. Hope this will help someone.
