Default RE: 3d for a builder

http://www.camodel.com.ar/Ingles/homeingles.htm for CA models. Their Widebody, Epsilon and Zafiro are getting lots of good reports, and I keep eyeing up the 24% and 27% extras

http://www.emhw.de/ for details on the Funtana (proper kit, not artf version). I think Desert Aircraft sell them in the US.

http://www.flycapiche.co.uk/ The Capiche 50 and 140 are taking the UK by storm, but probably a bit too expensive to get to the US. My C140 was my first "2m" plane.

Also, look at http://www.okmodel.co.jp/ for some other options. I have the Wildstyle, plenty of fun. I think http://www.modelrec.com/ sell them in the US, or email Fred at http://www.singahobby.com for their prices (very good including shipping all round the world).

Otherwise look to alter old favourites such as goldberg or great planes.
