RE: Anyone using Mobil 291 turbine oil?
Hi,
I work in full size aviation and this 291 oil is a new spec i read about it on a customer airlines technical notice. For info it is a low coking oil and it is also supposed to resist swelling (viton rubber swelling i think) of seals.
It's rival in the market is esso 2197 another new spec oil...Physically they are all mil-l- spec 23699 but the 2197 is a strange light straw colour.
