Default Hell Raiser First Flight

Just wanted to share my impressions. First thing is that the kit is very good. I have already given some feedback to Mike on adding a tail wheel or skid and a overall diagram of battery position, radio position etc. For the first flight I located the battery on the plywood, just in front of the landing gear mount. The balance point worked out well.

I also found that foam safe CA is not a good choice for the general foam to foam gluing. I used GWS glue.

Using exactly the set up recommended.
AXI 2208/34 with 10X3.8
Appogee 3S 830 lipo
Phoenix 10
Electron 6 with half a case

AUW came in at 11.6 oz just like they say.

Flight impressions: Wow! Straight up. Trim was within two clicks of the elevator. The most amazing rolls, like it was on a thread. One has to be comfortable with combo aileron- elevator turns. The aileron will not turn it without giving it some up to bring it around. But I am really looking forward to working on my knife edge and hovering with this plane. It is a natural.

This is the first AXI motor I have had and I am in love with it too. It is so quiet, and swings less prop than the Himax 4100 6:1 geared setup I have, but same 20oz thrust.

I have to say it is nice to get to a level in flying where after the first 3 flights, the airplane looks like it just came out of the box.
