Avistar 1st plane
This was my avistar, which I flew as my primary plane for almost two years. I sold it to a new flyer at our field, who is having a blast with it. It was the ARF version, not the ready to fly model, and was assembled with wing bolts, spreader bar on the gear, two servos in the wing, for flaperons and air brakes. The wing was also glassed at the seam. It saw a variety of motors, ranging from an la 46, to a supertigre gs45, and lastly a ys.45. Also used it for a variety of other purposes as well, including a digital camera and regular camera platform, a bomb drop, and the most fun of all, carrying and launching small zagi wings from a mount on the wing bolts.
The zagis are available in kit form, and weighs between 2-4 oz ready to fly. You can fly them by hand tossing in the front yard, or bungee launching, or towing. The builder of the prototype is holding the plane (wingspan99). If youre interested in the zagi, send me an email, and I can get you the specifics.
