Guys,

I am starting to prepare for building my first kit. It is an old Sig Ryan STA, the civvy model. 72 inch ws. I have put together several ARFs. I am mechanically inclined and pretty good with my hands.

Has anyone ever put together the Sig Ryan STA kit? If so any opinions, remarks, tips.

What do builders use for a really straight, flat building board?

What about tools.

Frankly, I don't know what questions I really need to ask.

Any tips, suggestions, or opinions about building kits in general are greatly appreciated.
