Well what depratment are you wanting to beat him in? Racing, tug of war, speed??? OR what?? IMO I would go with an LST. Eventhough they have had their fair share of problems, most of them have been worked out on the newer ones. In these fields I would definately say the LST SHOULD hand the savage its ass in a paper bag
. In tug of war you can put it in low and SHOULD be able to pull him around. You SHOULD have him in the speed department. While racing you SHOULD be able to beat him because of the LST's suspension, lower CG, and its better handling.....
If you are wanting something that is very durable then savage is the ticket. Also the savage is a little cheaper, so w/ the money you would save from not buying the LST you could do some mods
. BTW I have had a savage and really enjoyed it, and I should have my LST in a couple of weeks and my revo by spring
Although the LST is capable of accomplishing these feats; you first have to be a better driver than him
