RE: u-can-do 60 II
Tompa,
The engine question is all relative. Joe would be the best one to answer your question on the .46,vs the 60., as he just got done flying a .46 and he has considerable experience with the .60. Why can't you purchase an engine elsewhere?? I don't know what the duty is, but I just sold a new Supertigre .75 to a fellow in Australia for $92.00 and the shipping US Postal 3-5 day express was $26.00 US. You will find out in the long run that it is better to purchase the right engine the first time than to be unhappy with the performace and have to change anyways. Joe had a Saito 100 ($279.00) and found that it did not have quite enough power for his flying style. He wound up buying and being very satisfied with the YS 110FZ ($340). Based upon his comments in the thread, I purchased one also. I've got no plane to fly right now except for my trainer, but I have a brand new Saito 100 and the YS 110. As I have said before I hope I get to do something with them before they go out of warranty!! It would be nice to know that you have enough there to get the job done as your flying skills get better don't you think?? I would also think that the way prices are there that the resale value on unused or low time engines would be very good. Just something to think about.
