In the process of building mine now. I just took a pic of it on the scales (threw all the remaining stuff on top!). I am doing several mods to mine. I don't know if it needs it, just trying it. Doing all I can to keep the weight down, but it is not working! The plane in the pic is 6lb and 4 oz. Lacks covering and a couple more things that will just be a few oz. Looking at probably around 7 and a half. Putting a Saito 100 on it.
I've got mine almost ready to start covering and I'm estimating that mine will be right at 7 lbs with a YS FZ91.
What mods have you done? I've only done two things thus far, both of which are fractions of an ounce. I added two small pieces of triangle stock to each end of the landing gear plate and put CF strips on the wing and stab to reinforce it (my balsa sheeting seemed thin in a few spots). Otherwise, it's as supplied.
I've considered trying some CF landing gear, but the aluminum gear is rather light (120g), so the weight savings are small. I'm going to wait and see if I'm nose heavy before buying any CF gear.
