There is a guy at my field that has this Kadet with a Saito .72 in it. The only mod to the plane is the wing is bolted on instead of the rubber bands. It may be the kit version, and not the ARF.
It flys more like a Patriot than a trainer, but he isn't using it as a trainer. With good throttle management, it can be flown way over-powered like this. For a beginner, I wouldn't recommend doing something like this. I suggest you save the big engine for the corsair and get a setup just for training. If you stay in this hobby long enough, you'll eventually end up with lots of engines and gear laying around just waiting for a plane to put them in!
