Default RE: Cen NT16 to 18 conversion

Is nickel softer than chrome? Cause the last think I want to lose for performance is reliability. Let me know more after you get some good running time in.
Yes, I believe nickel is softer. And I would expect it to wear out faster than chrome.

re the cen 18 conversion: is the extra power very noticeable, is it lifting the front wheels onroad for example?
would you recommend the conversion - is it a good "bang for the bucks"?
I saw a little extra torque, I can get off the line a little faster, but no increase in speed. Not near enough power to pull the wheels. 25 bucks is a pretty cheap upgrade. I did it because I got the a new .18 P/S included with a used Cen ATX I bought on ebay.

To really improve performance get an OS .18 CV-RX [link]http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=000554284&I=TL3103&P=K[/link]
