Need a little help if possible,

is there a way to retro fit the rotor brake to a factory assembled PHT/3 without disturbing the turbine. Does the main shaft slide out of the auto unit after loosening the collars, mine is stiff but I do not want to start pulling things until I know for sure it will come out and if it does come out is there room to fit the unit ?
