Covering will not stick to coroplast. Vinyl is the way to go, and yes, you can get translucent vinyl, but it is pricey. You can use the windex method with vinyl on coroplast.
Although not '3-D', this checker flag was all hand cut (vinyl) and applied using the 'windex' method. Took a while, but the results speak for themselves! "Lucky" is a 25 pound, 8 foot wingspan coroplast behemoth powered by a Quadra 35cc. I was inspired to try something different as a result of this thread. The 3-D american flag is going on my Byron CAP 21, that is being finished this winter.
