Radio Control Weapon System
I am currrently designing a paint marker weapon system for radio controlled aircraft aerial combat with ammo capacity of 300+ rounds and a rate of fire of up to 1300 rounds per minute using standard 68 caliber paintballs. Muzzle velocities are between 150 and 300 ft/sec on the current system. A complete system including gun, loading system, mounting system and compressed air cylinder will have an all up weight of between 5 - 6 pounds. At this time, the prototype is still under development and I am looking at ways to further reduce weight without reducing firing rate or accuracy. New aircraft will have to be designed specifically for this type of combat, to carry the weight and to house the gun mechanism. I would like to hear your thoughts and comments on this exciting new form of combat.
