Sensor mounting..this is a stock G26..You can see a ring pressed on the front of the crankcase..I mill a slot for the hall sensor in it at the bottom.The hall sensor is glued into the slot with 5 minute epoxy...The other ring is pressed onto the bottom of the hub and has the small magnet embedded in it, also with 5 minute epoxy....The hub is put on the taper so the circuit fires at 28 degrees BTDC...I don't use the stock hub anymore, since there were some reports of the stud breaking off at the crank...I make a 2 piece hub, way stronger...Most crankcases are round on the front where the crank seal is pressed in..If the case can't be used there's usually someplace on the case where a bracket can be bolted on with the hall sensor in it..[8D]
I will not be doing any more chainsaw and weedie conversions quite a while, too busy with other projects..Zenoah conversions only for now...And bent crank repairs.
