Hmmm.. how do you convince them to jump? Balsa brains?

I'm sure I sound like a smart-arse but I'm really just THAT new to rc aircraft. I'm on my 1st kit plane and my kid is already asking.."where are bombs and machine guns?" It makes me pause...hmmm..

where and what are those pieces of balsa wood and how dare I place them.. that makes the plane fly!!!!
