Lee, I had a problem fitting my wing too. I had to sand down the top of the wing where the fillet contacts it to get a good fit. Once you get it thought it works fine. My YA Spit had tapped wood and it works ok. The wood thickness is sufficient for the nylon bolts that they give you.
