I think rather than list what we have, it might be better to let people list what they need.

By listing what someone has, people who are less than "In Need" may go ahead and take it if no one else lays claim to it. whereas, if someone says they are in need of something, it just might jog our memories (Oh yea, I have one of those, It's in that box I never look in)
